AKSU Benchmark 2020/21 has been released, this is always agreed and determined upon by the management of the institution based on the annual performance of the candidates

If after the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board Examination, the candidates score high, the cut off point will be high but if the performance is low, the cut off marks will be set in an average level.

The benchmark set for candidates who put Akwa Ibom State University as their first or second choice of institution is 170 for the 2020/21 academic session exercise. This was announced by the management to the general public.

Candidates who made the Akwa Ibom State University-AKSU as their first choice in their application for admission and those who scored 170 and above in the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board Examination are eligible for the post UTME screening exercise.

Akwa Ibom State University-AKSU does not really have a specific cut off mark for courses.
However, candidates who have scored a minimum of one 170 in JAMB examination are qualify to apply for admission into any of their chosen courses.

AKSU Nature of Admission Screening

It is studied that Akwa Ibom State University-AKSU holds her admission screening within a couple of week and it usually comes in not less than two phases.

Candidates who wish to study in the institution are to proceed for the pre-screening exercise once the date is being announced.

Documents required by candidates for the Pre-screening are SSCE result and Joint Admission and Matriculation Board JAMB registration print out.

It is important that a candidate arrives early and locates his/her screening venue as soon as possible. Candidates will be screened on the JAMB scores and their SSCE results.
The second phase of the screening comes after the release of admission lists. Candidates whose name appeared in the admission list will be invited for another exercise.

Documents Needed For The Screening Exercise

  • Candidates are to provide Original copies of their educational qualifications (Statements of Results/Certificates) Cases of awaiting results will NOT be accepted.
  • Birth Certification/Age Declaration.
  • Candidates are to present a letter of good conduct from your Church, Village Head or a responsible member of your community/or civil servant not below Grade Level 10 or equivalent in the private sector.
  • Certificate of Local Government of origin; and this notification of admission status slip will be needed.
