The Management of Uyo City Polytechnic is yet to announce the Cut Off mark for the institution but The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board-JAMB has released the cut off mark for all institutions starting from the Universities, Polytechnic, and colleges

Their cut off marks are used to determine who gets admitted into the institution by the management.

There are certain things to be observed before being admitted to study in any of the courses in any tertiary institution in Nigeria. One of these which include meeting the required cut-off points for each school as well as the courses itself. It is very easy to obtain admission in the institution if one has met the prescribed cut off mark.
2020/2021 Requirements, Screening Procedures

The institution is known to always hold her screening exercises within the period of weeks and it actually comes in two phases. Candidates who choose the institution as their first choice are to proceed with the Pre-screening exercise when once it is being announced.

All applicants are advised to arrive there early in order to locate his/her screening venue. The Applicants will be screened based on their UTME score and their Senior School Certificate Result respectively.

The second phase will be done after the admission list has been released for candidates. However, candidates who have merited the admission will be invited by the school management for another screening exercise. All students will be asked to present their documents

  1.  Original copies of their educational qualifications (Statements of Results/Certificates).
    N/B: Cases of awaiting results will NOT be accepted.
  2.  Recommended letter of good conduct from your Village Head or a responsible person in your community or a civil servant not below Grade Level 10 and your Pastor
  3.  Birth Certification/Age Declaration.
  4.  Certificate of Local Government of origin
  5.   Notification of admission status slip.

Candidates should endeavor to photocopy all their documents for submission and also go there with the original copies.

Departmental Cut Off Marks for 2020/2021 Is Now Out.

The Management of THe Joint Admission and Matriculation Board has announced the official Cut off Mark for all institutions in Nigeria.
The body made this known to the general public during their briefing, However, the minimum Mark to gain admission into any institution was set at 120 for the 2020/2021 academic session, this was strictly specified for only Polytechnics.

The good news is that the overall Cut off Mark which was announced by the body was set at 160 for all Universities in the country.

With reference to this, Candidates who did not upload their results on JAMB Portal are however advised to do so in order for them to be admitted when the exercise commences.

More so, The Uyo City Polytechnic does not have a specific Benchmark for their courses. Similarly, candidates who have scored up to 120 and above are therefore eligible to apply for admission into any of their choice of courses.
In regard to the number of candidates seeking admission into the institution, the Management does consider students with high UTME scores during the admission process in the institution.

Candidates should note that the cut-off mark for each varies depending on the performance of candidates who applied to study in the school for that year.

All candidates are to go with all their credentials to the screening hall as one of their missing documents can make you lose the admission.
